Ion de la Rocha gana el concurso de diseño de carátulas de CD
La concejal de Juventud de Logroño, Paloma Corres, ha presentado hoy en una rueda de prensa junto a los ganadores el fallo de la quinta edición de este concurso y el de temas musicales, en los que han participado un total de 189 jóvenes.
La carátula ganadora -que representa a un joven tumbado sobre la hierba mientras sestea y escucha unos auriculares de los que sale leche, en vez de música- ilustra un CD doble que incluye treinta canciones.
En total, se presentaron al concurso 44 carátulas (ocho más que la edición anterior), diseñadas por 36 jóvenes.
También se han concedido dos accésit, de 250 euros cada uno, a Alberto Esteban Clavijo por "Music saves the world", y a María del Carmen García Tudelilla por "3D-mini-singer".
Por otro lado, en el concurso de temas musicales han participado 40 grupos (formados por 153 jóvenes), quienes han presentado un total de 65 canciones.
En la categoría pop/rock, el primer premio dotado con 1.200 euros ha correspondido a la obra "Tengo un plan", del grupo "Bamboo bebop"; y el segundo de 500 euros ha sido para la canción "Línea de planetas", del grupo "Niños velcro".
Por otro lado, la categoría heavy/hard rock/punk/metal/hardcore ha reconocido con 1.200 euros el tema "Blow up your memory" de "The abbey of Thelema" y con otros 500 euros el tema "Insomniae" del grupo "Motel Lazarus".
El centro de recursos artísticos y juveniles "La gota de leche" acogerá mañana el acto de entrega de premios, de los discos publicados con los temas ganadores y un concierto del grupo "Bamboo bebop".

Die Elektrischen Vorspiele is pleased to announce the upcoming event: “ An Evening with the Beast : ALEISTER CROWLEY : His Life and Work ” due to take place in Athens , Greece , on May 27th. This event marks the first in what will hopefully become a series of awareness-raising events organized by the NGO “ Save the Abbey of Thelema ” represented in Greece by Ms. Anna Apostolidou .
For those who are unaware of current issues surrounding the building in Cefalu , Sicily, where Aleister Crowley once founded a temple and spiritual centre; the building recently came on the market, and the aims and objectives of the “ Save the Abbey of Thelema ” non-profit organization are to raise the necessary funds to buy and restore the building, currently in a sad state of disrepair, in order to use it as a cultural centre or for other events related to the history of occultism. Apart from being significant to followers of Thelema and fans of Crowley , it is also (one of many) symbols of occult history.
The event on May 27th has the key objective of raising awareness about Crowley ’s person, warts and all, and is not aimed at either glorifying, nor underplaying, his often highly controversial teachings and practices. Rather, it seeks to inform and raise awareness about the overall historical influences of Crowley’s life and work from an impartial point of view, and as always, to attempt to clarify the many misconceptions surrounding his person and teachings, since Crowley and his work form an important part of the esoteric history of the 20th century, and his influence is found in numerous manifestations of modern occulture.
