It’s due to stress. Paul Jr. has crapped on Vinny more than enough times, and think he is just fed up of it. It’s a big mistake letting Vinny leave, he is one hell of fabricator and electrician. I don’t think Cody has grown up and definitely can’t fill Vinnie’s shoes, he shouldn’t even try. Vinny, Rick, and the other guys do most of the work while Paul Jr. just thinks of the build, and gets mad if things don’t go his way………….Sorry to see Vinny leave, one hell of a guy.

I’m a big fan. It’s probably because of the stress…. one deadline after another. Probably spending too much time at the shop. He has a wife and at least one kid (to my knowledge) Family time is very important. The only more stressful situation is with Boyd Codditon and the Hot Rod show.

There was not much on his leaving… just the last five minutes of the show. No going away party or anything. It was so abrupt (and sort of sad) for what he has contributed to OCC. Mikey was the only one who walked him to the door. (Even Mikey wishes he, himself was the one leaving).

But maybe he is leaving so as to one day come back. Sort of how Ford cancelled the Mustang, only to bring it back. But that’s a long shot. I think that is a very stressful situation at OCC and the filming for the show. It was five years for him.

You know it had to be for financial reasons. I’m sure he looks around and sees how RICH the Tuetels are getting (even Mikey who really doesn’t work much) and decided its just not worth it for him to continue with the stress and long hours. They probably don’t pay him much more than what an experienced mechanic makes even though he probably contributes more WORK than anybody in the shop. He’s a talented guy and probably wants to get out there and try to get the money and recognition he deserves.

I will bet Rick and some of the other guys are next to leave. OCC has really gone corporate and have “sold out” in my opinion, so its all about making money now….and the Tuetels are probably not very likely to share their wealth with their employees as much as they would.
